What Does a Speech Therapist Do?

The speech therapist is a person who helps people develop their communication skills. He treats various disorders affecting the speech, the language, the voice and the swallowing.

After the assessment and the evaluation, the speech therapist chooses the right treatment or rehabilitation. His services also include prevention, guidance and advices.

He usually works in schools, rehabilitation centers, hospitals as well as private practices.
