Check Your Child's Language

Here are some of the signs you, parents, should be aware of. Always check your child language in every step of his development. And don’t forget that language also includes voice, swallowing and learning abilities   

 

First year:   

- Doesn’t babble or vocalize

- Doesn’t react to sounds, noise, shouts…

 

3 years:       

- Uses only words not sentences when speaking

- His speech isn’t understood by others and strangers

- Has some speech disfluencies (stutters)

 

5 years:       

- Still uses short sentences with lots of grammatical errors

- Does many errors when speaking words

 

7 years:       

- Still doesn’t pronounce all speech sounds

- Has some learning difficulties in reading, writing and math

- Has a rough voice, talks too loudly, often shouts and gets tired when speaking…
